Oh Boy, Akibaranger Keys!

Just when we thought it would end after the Kamen Rider OOO keys, we got Metal Hero Keys for Super Hero War Z, and now Akibaranger Keys!! When does it stop?? ;)

It appears to have Akiba Yellow and Blue Season 2 ver. Come on Bandai you should have thrown in Super Akiba Red! Oh and it doesn't work with the Mobirates for obvious reasons. That's pretty much expected.

This is No Delusion: Akibaranger Season 2 Confirmed!

As previously reported, Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger would very likely come back for a second season. It was confirmed at an Kamen Rider and Super Sentai event called, “Super Hero Festival”, on January 11 that Akibaranger will in fact return for a second season. More info will be soon revealed on Akibaranger’s official website. Also we might be getting Akiba Purple. That has yet to be confirmed.

New Sentai airing in 2012: Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger!!!

The Japanese production company Toei launched a website to announce that its live-action Hikōnin Sentai Akibaranger (Unofficial Sentai Akihabara Rangers) television series will premiere this April. The story follows three protagonists who live in Akihabara's Electric Town among other otaku. When the trio learn that a malevolent entity plans to annihilate their neighborhood, they become warriors to wipe out evil — with the help of super gear created by a beautiful and brilliant genius.

The website lists several live-action special-effects (tokusatsu) and anime veterans, including director Ryuta Tazaki (Kamen Rider), director/character designer Keiichi Satou (Karas, Tiger & Bunny), writer Naruhisa Arakawa (Kamen Rider Kuuga, Spice and Wolf, Steel Angel Kurumi), and composer Kenji Kawai (Ghost in the Shell, Death Note, Eden of the East).
Bandai's Tamashii Web toy website launched a placeholder page for Hikōnin Sentai Akibaranger.
